Job Description
Istoria is looking for a Visual Designer who knows what it takes to design and deliver exceptional brand experiences. This person will work closely with our creative team to craft remarkable brand identities and inspiring websites for companies that are improving the world.
As a Visual Designer, you will be a creative force behind Istoria's client work and agency collateral. Your strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities will ensure the highest level of detail, polish, and consistency in our work. The ideal candidate for this role is self-driven, adaptable, embraces creative challenges, and is eager to grow in their craft.
Responsibilities
- Design visual brand identities aligned with the team’s creative strategy and art direction
- Design branded print and web collateral
- Be able to uphold existing client brand guidelines where applicable
- Be detail-oriented and passionate about creating beautiful front-end web experiences
- Actively participate in project discovery and creative brainstorming sessions
- Participate in and lead client meetings as they relate to your work
- Be proactive and communicative, contributing ideas and anticipating client needs as you work
- Understand your priorities and know when to shift focus to finish your tasks on time and raise flags when you suspect the timeline may be at risk
- Contribute to creative planning for photo and video shoots
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in front-end design and/or brand design
- Strong proficiency in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Google Workspace, and WordPress
- Proven ability to design visual identities from concept to delivery
- Exceptional design sensibility with a keen eye for visual details and aesthetics
- Solid understanding of branding, marketing, and content creation across both digital and print media
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Appreciation for organization and creative project workflows
- Ability to present to and communicate with clients with clarity and confidence
- Comfortability in a hybrid work model with occasional travel

Vacation
- 20 Paid Vacation Days. Ten days rollover. You’ll begin the year with your days already afforded. A minimum of 10 vacation days a year are required.
- 12 Paid Holidays. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
- Two Paid, One-Week Company Breaks. Istoria closes shop agency-wide twice a year–once in the middle of the summer over the 4th of July and once between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Financial
- Retirement. Istoria matches 100% of employee contributions up to the first 3% of pay, then 50% of employee contributions on the next 2% of pay into a 401(k) plan.
- Yearly Bonuses. Unless otherwise stated, you will be eligible to receive a year-end bonus based on your performance, which will be determined at Istoria’s full discretion. Additional bonuses may be awarded throughout the year based on your own (including your efforts to generate new business via your relationships) and the company’s performance, which will be determined at Istoria’s discretion.

- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life. You get to select between 1 of 3 medical plans to suit your needs best. Istoria pays for 50% of your monthly coverage.
