Celebrating Community
Focused Design

Work Program Architects is a community-focused design firm dedicated to creating spaces that strengthen social, economic, and coastal resilience in Hampton Roads. We partnered with them to create a comprehensive case study video on the expansion of the Chrysler Museum of Art’s Perry Glass Studio. The studio features multiple hot shops, dedicated classrooms, and a 200-seat performance theater that puts the art of glassmaking on full display.

Challenge

Craft a Multifaceted Narrative

WPA needed a visual narrative that would honor the craftsmanship of glassmaking, celebrate the innovative architectural design and process, and communicate the broader cultural significance of bringing this expanded facility to the Chrysler Museum of Art.

Solution

A Robust, Documentary Style Approach
Through multiple production days, we captured the Perry Glass Studio in full operation: documenting the heat, movement, and precision of glassmaking across multiple hot shops and dedicated classrooms. We interviewed key members of the WPA and Chrysler teams to explore the vision behind the expansion and connect the studio to the larger Norfolk creative community.

Watching the Istoria team work is as meaningful as the project film they created for us — thoughtful, collaborative, and a true creative partner.
